We are committed to protecting your personal information and ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws and Meta's Developer Policies.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide, improve, and protect our services. This includes:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Meta Platform Data: When you connect your Instagram account, we request permissions to access specific data through the Instagram Graph API. This includes your Instagram account data, posts, comments, and direct messages (DMs) as explicitly authorized by you.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including features used and analytics data.
- Payment Information: Processed securely via third-party payment providers. We do not store full credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data strictly for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our auto-responder services for your Instagram account.
- To read comments and DMs in order to trigger the automated replies you have configured.
- To generate analytics and insights regarding your engagement.
- To communicate with you regarding service updates, security alerts, and support.
- To ensure compliance with our Terms of Service and Meta's Platform Terms.
3. Instagram & Meta Data Usage
Nodem uses the Meta/Instagram API to function. We only request permissions necessary to operate our service. We do not use your Meta Platform Data for any purpose other than providing the Nodem service to you. We do not sell, license, or purchase Meta Platform Data, nor do we use it for advertising, retargeting, or cross-app tracking.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We only share your data with trusted third-party service providers (such as hosting infrastructure and payment processors) under strict confidentiality agreements to facilitate our service. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users or third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data and Meta Platform Data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you disconnect your Instagram account or delete your Nodem account, we will promptly delete your Meta Platform Data from our active databases, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Deletion Policy & Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To request the deletion of your data (including any data retrieved from Instagram):
- Log in to your Nodem account and navigate to the Account Settings to delete your account.
- Or, email us at nodemdotin@gmail.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days.
- You may also revoke our app's access to your Instagram account directly from your Instagram/Facebook Security settings.
7. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect your data. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "lastUpdated" date.
